Charlotte Westies Presents Wednesday Nights at The Bearded Buffalo in Belmont

Wednesday nights at The Bearded Buffalo is ABOUT HAVING FUN! It’s a great opportunity for dancers at all levels to learn from, and dance with, some of the top dance professionals worldwide, including West Coast Swing Champions Patty Vo, Jason & Annmarie Marker, Michael Kiehm, and other WCS Champions and All-Stars. Couples and singles are welcome, and no prior dance experience is necessary.

Each week features a 30-minute warm-up session, followed by two, one-hour classes that run at the same time. The Level 1 class is designed to teach beginner dancers the fundamental patterns of West Coast Swing. The Level 2+3 class is for more experienced dancers. The social dance after the lessons is for all levels. For experienced dancers the social dance provides an opportunity to dance with top-level pros and other local WCS dancers. For beginners, seasoned dancers can help you catch on quicker.

West Coast Swing Dancers

“For me, the dance is fun, especially after sitting at a desk all day. West Coast Swing is an actively developing social dance for current music while most other dances are history lessons.”

Rick

“It makes me feel younger than I am.”
